Neighbors Helping Neighbors

To meet our neighbors and give back to the community, Cygnet Theatre is proud to invite you to Tuesday on Twiggs Street! Quarterly, Cygnet focuses on a specific neighborhood by throwing a FREE EVENT to support the library serving that area. Local residents, as well as the general public, are invited to bring donations and “wish list” items for the designated library to a “Neighborhood Party” at Cygnet’s Old Town Theatre.

Each event includes free wine and other beverages, appetizers, behind-the-scene tours, enter-to-wins and opportunities to meet artists who produce and perform in the plays.

supporting the Logan Heights Branch Library

Where:
Cygnet Theatre in Old Town
4040 Twiggs Street, San Diego, CA 92110

Marion Moss Hubbard, the Sr. Public Information Officer for the San Diego Public Library, specifically asked for Cygnet’s help with this new and needy library in the heart of San Diego’s Hispanic district. “In their off hours, these people are trying to improve their English because they want to get better jobs. They are trying to help their children learn to read in English and sometimes the children are teaching their parents.” With the library built, the Logan Heights Branch is in need of books to fill it and financial assistance to start new library programs.
