CYC: Spring Awakening, Les Miserables; Lyceum Theatre: A Fundamental Change (World Premiere); ion Theatre: Punk Rock, Haram Iran (Staged Reading), Wonder Wounded Heroes; Canyon Crest Academy: Pink Floyd’s The Wall. David has won two NYA awards, “Outstanding Lead Actor in a Musical” and “Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Musical”. He enjoys songwriting in his spare time and is working on an EP album. David wants to thank Sean Murray for his incredible directorial abilities, and the entire Cygnet artistic team and cast for their dedication to this project. She just graduated from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (2013) with a BFA in Drama. Some of her recent roles include: Violet Weston in August:Osage County, The Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods, Curley’s Wife in Of Mice and Men. She was recently nominated for Best Actress in a New Musical at the NYC Planet Connections Festival for her role as Genia in Tauris. Love to my wonderful family, and friends. Especially the ones who traveled across the country to see me! You guys rock.

Dave is a voiceover actor, photographer, graphic designer and a proud graduate of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Proud member of AEA.

Charles also recently completed his fifth summer as a resident actor with the Okoboji Summer Theatre where favorite credits include Little Women: The Musical (Laurie), The Secret Garden (Dickon), and Forever Plaid (Francis). Charles is a BFA theatre graduate of Stephens College for Women.

This summer, Claire was a student in La Jolla Playhouse’s Summer Conservatory 2013. She is a member of the International Thespian Honor Society as well as the Tri-M Music Honor Society. She would like to dedicate her performance to her wonderful vocal coach Karyn Overstreet.

TheaAdi is thrilled to be making her professional debut as Thea in Spring Awakening. Favorite roles include Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie (CPMA) and Snoopy in Snoopy (Pickwick Players). Other roles include Duffy in Annie (Pickwick Players) and Florinda in a concert version of Into the Woods (SDSCPA). Adi has been nominated for two Aubrey awards. She is a sophomore at the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts. She is also a company member of the California Rhythm Project tap dance company and is a scholarship student at the Academy of Performing Arts San Diego. A huge thank you to Sean and the creative team for this opportunity, her mentors – Bill Doyle and Kyrsten Hafso-Koppman, and her parents.

Some of his favorite roles include: Peter Pan in Peter Pan, Evan in 13, and Treplev in The Nina Variations. This past summer, he spent 7 weeks at Northwestern University in the Cherub’s Theatre Arts and Musical Theatre Extension Programs studying all aspects of theatre. Chris hopes to attend an ivy-league or top private university to study a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Performance Studies or a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. He would like to thank Sean Murray and all of Cygnet for the amazing opportunity and his parents and brother for supporting his passion.

Most recently seen as Flora in Pacific Opera Project’s Turn of the Screw, part of countrywide Britten100/LA: A Celebration, other credits: Yum-Yum in The Mikado (POP), Anne Egerman in A Little Night Music (EWP), Mabel in Pirates of Penzance (TTC), Christine in Phantom of the Opera (VoxLumiere’s tour), White Christmas and Brigadoon (FCLO), CarnEvil (Sacred Fools), lead in The Starchild (Opera Pacific’s American premiere), Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro (La Musica Lirica in Italy), Poppea in Handel’s Agrippina (Freud Playhouse), Monica in The Medium (OperaUCLA), and lead roles in LA Opera’s touring productions. She has also work-shopped numerous new works as staged readings throughout Los Angeles. As Miss Culver City 2013, she received 2nd runner up at Miss California 2013 (Miss America Organization). Michael Mizerany
Michael has served as choreographer for the productions of Altar Boyz, Miss Kitty’s Wild West Revue and Scrooge In Rouge (Diversionary Theatre); Chicago: A Speakeasy Cabaret, Grey Gardens and A Midsummer Night’s Fever (ion Theatre); as well as Carnvial! and Suds (Coronado Playhouse). He has been the recipient of numerous awards including two Lester Horton Awards for his solos Tin Soldier and Bump in the Road, the LA Stage Scene Award for Outstanding Choreography for Altar Boyz and the Bravo San Diego Award for Outstanding Choreographer of 2012. Last year, he was nominated for a Craig Noel Theater Award for Outstanding Choreography for Altar Boyz. Most recently, Michael was nominated again for a Bravo San Diego Award as Outstanding Choreographer of 2013 for his contemporary/musical theatre work. Upcoming projects: choreographer for Bare: a Pop Opera at Diversionary Theatre and The Full Monty at New Village Arts.

Terry O'Donnell
Terry O’Donnell has worked with many regional theatre companies including The Old Globe, Moonlight Stage Productions, Starlight Musical Theatre, Theatre in Old Town, Welk Resort, and La Jolla Playhouse. Selected projects include: Forbidden Broadway (with national company), Beehive (Drama-Logue Award for musical direction), Assassins (west-coast premiere), Triumph of Love, Song of Singapore, Master Class, and Gilligan’s Island: the Musical (regional premieres), Bat Boy, and Honk! (San Diego premieres), and five years with San Diego’s longest running musical Forever Plaid. Dr. O’Donnell is Professor Emeritus of Music and Theatre at San Diego State University. He is a founding faculty member of their unique MFA graduate degree program – one of only two Master of Fine Arts musical theatre programs in the nation. Presently, he serves as Board of Trustees President for Young Audiences of San Diego – part of a national network of affiliates that bring quality arts education programs to schools. For eighteen years, he served as music editor for Hugh Martin, renowned composer of “The Trolley Song,” and “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.”

Steven Sater
Steven Sater’s plays include the long-running Carbondale Dreams, Perfect for You, Doll (Rosenthal Prize, Cincinnati Playhouse), Umbrage (Steppenwolf New Play Prize), A Footnote to the Iliad (New York Stage and Film, The Miniature Theatre of Chester), Asylum (Naked Angels), Murder at the Gates (commissioned by Eye of the Storm), In Search of Lost Wings (Sanford Meisner) and a reconceived version of Shakespeare’s The Tempest, with music by Laurie Anderson, which played London’s Lyric Hammersmith and toured internationally. In addition to Spring Awakening, Sater has collaborated with alt-rocker Duncan Sheik on the NY premiere of Umbrage (HERE), Nero (The Magic Theatre), and The Nightingale (commissioned by Martin McCallum, work-shopped both at the O’Neill Musical Theatre Conference and La Jolla Playhouse). He is the lyricist for Sheik’s critically-acclaimed album Phantom Moon (Nonesuch), and together the two wrote the songs for Michael Mayer’s feature film A Home at the End of the World (Warner Classics) as well as the independent feature Brother’s Shadow. Steven is co-creator and Executive Producer, with Paul Reiser, of recent pilots for both NBC and FX, and has developed two projects for HBO, and a pilot for Showtime (with Reiser). He is also at work, with Jessie Nelson, on a feature film for New Line. Sater with recording legend Burt Bacharach created Some Lovers, based on the short story The Gift of the Magi by O. Henry, which had its regional premiere at The Old Globe.
Duncan Sheik
In addition to writing the music for Spring Awakening, which received a critically acclaimed Lincoln Center American Songbook Concert staging, Grammy award nominated singer-songwriter Duncan Sheik collaborated with Playwright Steven Sater on Umbrage, Nero, The Nightingale and Alice by Heart. Duncan’s other works include Twelfth Night, Whisper House (Old Globe), Because of Winn Dixie, and American Phsyco. His self-titled debut album, which was an enormous popular and critical success, introduced the hit singles “Barely Breathing” and “She Runs Away,” and spent 30 weeks on the Billboard 200. Other albums include Humming, Daylight, Phantom Moon with lyrics by Steven Sater, White Limousine, Whisper House (concept album), and Covers 80’s. Film Soundtracks: Great Expectations, The Saint, Teaching Mrs. Tingle, Three to Tango, What a Girl Wants, Transamerica and A Body Goes Down. Sheik composed and produced the original score for the feature film A Home at the End of the World, directed by Michael Mayer and starring Colin Farrell.

Taylor Wycoff
Taylor is delighted to be continuing her work as dramaturg for the Cygnet Theatre. Previous dramaturgical credits include Maple & Vine, A Christmas Carol: A Live Radio Play, The Importance of Being Earnest, Travesties, Company, Shakespeare’s R&J, Assassins, Gem of the Ocean (Cygnet); Kita y Fernanda, Yellow Face (Mo’olelo). She has had the privilege of presenting her research at the Association for Theatre in Higher Education Annual Conference and the Philadelphia Theatre Research Symposium. She also teaches for Kids Act and is a graduate of Young Audiences Teaching Artist Institute. Taylor holds a BA in Theatre Arts and International Relations from the University of San Diego and is a member of the Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas.
Angelica Ynfante
Angelica Ynfante is a BFA graduate from Texas State University she has worked around the country as a carpenter and scenic artist for 5 years with a brief stop in Cancun Mexico, till she came to California. Here as a properties person, she has worked for San Diego Repertory Theatre for five seasons, four seasons with Moxie theatre and Scripps Ranch Theatre, and two seasons with Cygnet Theatre. Other places around town she has worked with are Coronado Playhouse: The Man Who Came to Dinner, North Coast Repertory: Becoming Cuba, Man with a Load of Mischief, Sea World: Santa’s Cottage 2011 & 2012. She is thrilled to be working on this production of the Spring Awakening, and would like to thank Anthony & Joyce for their contribution.
