Miss Industrial NortheastMax is thrilled to join the Cygnet Theatre this summer in such a spectacular. Having a BFA in Musical Theatre, Max is proud to perform and teach here in his hometown of San Diego. Some of his favorite professional credits include: Wizard of Oz (Moonlight), The Sound of Music and Cats (San Diego Musical Theatre), and he is excited to return to White Christmas for a third run with San Diego Musical Theatre! He has also been working at San Diego Junior Theatre for the past year and recently finished choreographing Shrek The Musical. Max is most grateful for the incredible love and support he gets from his family, friends, coworkers, and the San Diego theatre community. And a very special thank you to the cast, crew, and production team, but especially David and James, two amazing men that already taught and helped me so much in getting here. Miss Bible BeltRyan has performed throughout Canada, Europe and the U.S. He is a graduate of the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts in Toronto, Canada. Originally from Newfoundland, Canada, he has been proud to call San Diego his home for the last six years. Select favorite theatrical roles include: Cornelius Hackl in Hello, Dolly! (Starlight Theatre), Rooster in Annie (Starlight & Moonlight), Joe Cable in South Pacific (Sunshine Festival), Prince Dauntless in Once Upon A Mattress (Toronto Center), El Gallo in The Fantasticks (Sunshine Festival), Tulsa in Gypsy (Tada Productions), and the Emcee in Lucky Stiff (Stirling Festival). Audiences may recognize him more as the “Walmart Man,” having been the on-air host of 12 Walmart commercials in ’13, showing moms how they can save $$$ on their groceries. He’s now excited for this new gig – getting to slap on some makeup, put on a dress, and compete for the title of Miss Glamouresse. I’m a pretty girl mama! Enjoy the show.

Favorite credits include: Fastrada in Pippin, Don Kerr in A Chorus Line, Lucky in Dames at Sea, Richard (the nice nurse) in A New Brain, Ensemble (Chad/Dean cover) in the 2nd National Tour of All Shook Up, and Beverly Carlton in The Man Who Came to Dinner. Luke is extremely pleased to be back on solid ground in San Diego after performing on Holland America Line’s M.S. Oosterdam as the Lead Production Cast Singer/Dancer for the past year. He holds his BFA in Musical theatre from CSU, Fullerton. He is beyond thankful for family and friends who don’t mind seeing him in wigs and heels, and for YOU for supporting live art. “Enjoy, please!”

He has had the privilege of performing regionally at the Hollywood Bowl (The Producers, directed by Susan Stroman), LA’s Center Theatre Group (Harmony, with Barry Manilow), on PBS television (Will Parker in Oklahoma!, directed by Terrence Mann, and the Emmy-award winning Much Ado About Nothing), the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta (Harmony), two full seasons at the St. Louis Muny, and many others. Don is excited about returning to Cygnet Theatre and teaming up again with James Vasquez having just worked on Cats together. He was the Musical Director for the 2002 production of Pageant at North Coast Rep, for Cygnet’s Bed And Sofa (the first time) and A Little Night Music at the Old Town Theatre space. Don has been involved in theater for the past 30 years, getting his start at Moonlight Amphitheater, then on to staff accompanist at SDSU, many productions as band leader at Lamb’s Players, Musical Director at Performance Riverside for 7 years, and is currently resident Musical Director/Conductor/Orchestra Contractor for San Diego Musical Theatre. He was nominated for an Ovation Award for Performance Riverside’s production of 1776 in 2004, honored with a San Diego Theater Critic Circle Award for Outstanding musical direction for SDMT’s inaugural production of The Full Monty in 2007 and again for The Sound Of Music in 2013. Don is an entertainer at Martinis Above Fourth and the Caliph Lounge with his fabulous singing partner of 16 years, Ria Carey, has a weekly solo gig at the Imperial House Restaurant, and has been the pianist at Our Mother Of Confidence for the past 20 years. “Without music, my life would be a mistake.”

He is an avid photographer, videographer, painter, sculptor, graphic designer and “maker of things.” In San Diego theaters, he has worked as a Scenic Designer, Scenic Artist, Properties Designer, Multimedia/Video Designer and Technician and Stage Manager for numerous productions and special events. Meg is a recent graduate from UCSD with a B.A. in theater and she is delighted to return to Cygnet Theatre after interning with them last summer on Company, The Importance of Being Earnest and Travesties. Previous SM credits include The Underground New Play Festival (UCSD), Doomsurfing (Knight & Brinegar), The 24hr Play Festival, OnStage Readings, and Variations (Nomads Theatre Company). James Vasquez
Cygnet Resident Artist. James is happy to return to Pageant after vying for the crown as Ms. West Coast in the 2005 Cygnet production. Other Cygnet directing/choreography credits include Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Little Shop of Horrors, and Sweeney Todd (Craig Noel Award). Elsewhere: CATS (San Diego Musical Theatre), Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas, The Rocky Horror Show, A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Old Globe Theatre), Pippin, the world premiere of Harmony Kansas, and West Coast premiere [title of show] (Diversionary), as well as developmental workshops at La Jolla Playhouse and Goodspeed Musicals. He is co-founder of Daisy 3 Pictures. In 2008, his film Ready? OK! won the Best Film award at Seattle, North Carolina, and San Diego film festivals. Daisy 3’s latest film, That’s What She Said, had its world premiere at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. James is a graduate of the Juilliard School of Drama.
Taylor Wycoff
Taylor is delighted to be continuing her work as dramaturg for the Cygnet Theatre. Previous dramaturgical credits include The Motherf**ker with the Hat, Spring Awakening, Maple and Vine, A Christmas Carol, Playwrights in Process: New Play Festival, The Importance of Being Earnest, Travesties, Company, Shakespeare’s R&J, Assassins, Gem of the Ocean (Cygnet); Kita y Fernanda, Yellow Face (Mo’olelo). She has had the privilege of presenting her research at the Association for Theatre in Higher Education Annual Conference and the Philadelphia Theatre Research Symposium. She served as a Consensus Organizer for Mo’olelo’s recent productions of 18 Mighty Mountain Warriors and Extraordinary Chambers, teaches for Kids Act and is a graduate of Young Audiences Teaching Artist Institute. Taylor holds a BA in Theatre Arts and International Relations from the University of San Diego and is a member of the Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas.

Previously at Cygnet: The Motherf**ker with the Hat, Spring Awakening, Maple and Vine, The Importance of Being Earnest, Travesties, Company, Assassins, Gem of the Ocean, A Christmas Carol, Mistakes Were Made, Man of La Mancha, Dirty Blonde. A Texas State University graduate with a BFA in theatre, she made her way around the U.S. and Mexico for five years working in Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, Vermont, New York, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Cancun until she made it to sunny California where she is currently the props mistress with the San Diego Rep. She has also worked with Moxie Theatre.
