Alice Springs in the year 2039. A fish falls from the sky and lands at the feet of Gabriel York. And it still smells of the sea. It’s been raining for days, and Gabriel knows something is wrong. Fifty years earlier, his grandfather, Henry Law, predicts that fish will fall from the sky heralding a great flood which will end life on earth as we know it. Gabriel York/Henry LawAdrian began his professional performing career as a sea lion trainer at Sea World, California. After appearing in front of 2,500 seat audiences, he decided to pursue a degree in theatre to become a professional actor. As a performer, Adrian has starred in contemporary drama and comedy, farce, stunt shows, Shakespeare, puppet shows for Disneyland, and original clown productions (including a turn as a director in Lima, Peru), and has performed on stage, in front of the camera, and in front of the microphone (his voice can be heard as the narrator of the Disney Read Along CD for the movie Toy Story). Adrian holds a BA in Theatre Arts from SDSU, and an MFA in Acting from UCI. He currently serves as the Head of Acting at SDSU.

Travis Barrett
Travis Barrett (Assistant Scenic Designer) is currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts degree in Technical Direction from San Diego State University. He is excited to make his Cygnet Theatre debut! Previously, Travis served as the Assistant Technical Director at the nearby Old Globe Theatre, where his credits include the regional theatre premieres of the Broadway bound productions A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder (2014 Tony Award Winner Best Musical), Allegiance: A New American Musical, and Bright Star. Other credits include the world premiere of Samuel Hunter’s The Few and the West Coast premiere of Marco Ramirez’s The Royale. In his free time, nothing beats an afternoon at the archery range.
Andrew Bovell
Andrew Bovell is an award-winning writer for theatre, film and television. His AWGIE award-winning play Speaking in Tongues has been seen throughout Australia as well as in Europe and the US and Bovell adapted it for the screen as Lantana. Both the play and screenplay have been published by Currency along with After Dinner, Holy Day, Scenes from a Separation (written with Hannie Rayson), When the Rain Stops Falling and Who’s Afraid of the Working Class?, written with Patricia Cornelius, Melissa Reeves, Christos Tsiolkas and Irene Vela.
Meg DeBoard
Meg DeBoard recently worked on Blueprints to Freedom: An Ode to Bayard Rustin at La Jolla Playhouse (Assistant Director). Directing credits include The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (Hawaii Premiere, Paliku Theatre), Lulu (East 15 Acting School), Plaza Suite (Assistant Director, Waterloo East Theatre), Come Back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean (Movement Director/Assistant Director, Tristan Bates Theatre). She has an MFA in Theatre Directing from The University of Essex in England.
Vanessa Dinning
English-born and professionally trained in theatre and classical music in London, Vanessa pursued a successful stage career in theatre acting, direction, theatre education, cabaret, and text and dialect work throughout the UK working at The Royal National Theatre, The Belgrade Theatre, Shakespeare’s Globe in London, various drama schools and touring. Moving to San Diego in 2007, Vanessa became Artistic Director of San Diego Shakespeare Society, a position she held for three years, producing and directing performance and outreach programs. Recently she has worked at North Coast Rep Theatre School, Coronado Playhouse, Scripps Ranch Theatre, Write Out Loud, Cygnet Theatre and Moonlight Stage Productions as an actor, a director, a voice teacher and a dialect coach. Vanessa is excited to return to Cygnet after working as dialect coach on My Fair Lady, Hay Fever and The Vortex.
Jungah Han
Jungah is a New York based designer, recently graduated from Yale School of Drama. Jeanne Reith
In her 25-year career as a Theatrical Costume Designer, Jeanne has dressed over 350 productions. She has served as Resident Designer for theatres in Los Angeles, Glendale and Santa Barbara, and at Lambs Players Theatre Coronado. As a Resident Artist for Cygnet Theatre, some of her designs include: The Little Foxes, A Little Night Music, My Fair Lady, Company, Man of La Mancha, Copenhagen. Costume designs awards she received include: Craig Noel, Patté, LA Weekly, Backstage West, and Dramalogue. Jeanne also teaches Fashion History, Draping, Patternmaking, and other fashion related classes at San Diego Mesa College and San Diego Continuing Education, West City.
Dean Remington
National Tours include The Lion King and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, and in the United Kingdom Dean was pleased to work with Cameron Mackintosh on his musical Hey, Mr. Producer! Other highlights include international productions of Grease, 42nd Street, Anything Goes, A Chorus Line, Dreamgirls and Meet Me in St. Louis. He has also enjoyed working in Film and Television on numerous projects as a Production Coordinator. Syd is a multitalented fine artist, photographer, filmmaker and multimedia designer. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cinema and Photography from Southern Illinois University. Syd has contributed to numerous theatre productions, music videos, television productions, TV commercials and has worked both behind the scenes and in front of the camera on motion picture film productions. Syd is an accomplished fine artist and has had many public art, photography and digital multimedia exhibitions. He is also a community activist and covers current local events as a photojournalist and blogger. At Cygnet, Syd contributes his talents as Props Designer, Charge Artist and Set Painter. Taylor received her BA in Theatre and International Relations from the University of San Diego and is a proud member of the community based theatre company Circle Circle Dot Dot, as well as the Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas.

Sarah Zimmerman is a recent graduate of Grove City College where she received her B.S in Business Management with a minor in Theater. Recent credits: White Christmas (SDMT), The Weir (New Village Arts), The Music Man (Moonlight), The Tempest (GCC) and RED (KCACTF). She is excited to be working her first Cygnet production.
