Susana Cafasso Alvarado

Susana has been dancing since she was three years old and acting since she was five. She has trained at several dance studios in hip hop, jazz, contemporary, tap, ballet, salsa, and bachata. Susana has participated in a number of dance companies and collaborated with crews like Fuego Dance Crew. She can currently be found dancing and teaching salsa and bachata at Majesty In Motion Dance studio in San Diego. Susana has also acted in numerous university theatre productions and studied acting at the Baron Brown Studio in Santa Monica. This is her first time working at the Cygnet Theatre and she is honored to receive the opportunity.

Berto Fernández

Berto is thrilled to return to the Cygnet stage in this powerful production of Evita. Ariella Kvashny

Ariella is honored to be making her Cygnet debut. She is a 2021 graduate of University of California Irvine with a BFA in Musical Theatre and Honors in Acting. Her recents credits include Gloria Estefan in On Your Feet (Moonlight), Mama Who in How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Old Globe), Ana Hernandez in Living Out (UCI), and Brooklyn the Musical (Moxie). After this, she will be returning to The Old Globe for another magical holiday season as Mama Who. Justin Lunsford

Justin is simply thrilled to be making his debut with Cygnet Theatre. His career truly began in the opera. He is a classically trained bass-baritone. Some of his most notable roles include: Papageno (Die Zauberflöte/The Flute), Falstaff (The Merry Wives of Windsor) and Colline (La Bohème). He was recently seen as Mr. Stevens/Rev. Bliss in CARRIE: The Musical (Fine Arts Network) in Collins/Gordon Grant, Memphis (Moonlight Amphitheater) and Reuben/Potiphar in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Old Town Temecula Theater). He dedicates this show to Trent… his motivation for most things in this beautiful life. 

Daisy Martinez

Daisy is elated to be making her Cygnet debut in this beautiful production of Evita. Originally from Miami, Florida, her credits include In the Heights (Camila Rosario), Sweeney Todd (Adolfo Pirreli), You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown (Sally Brown), Rent (Maureen). Matthew Malecki Martinez

Brian (he/him/his) is elated to be making his debut performance with Cygnet. Lucy Santos

Lucy is a 6th grader at The San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts and excited to make her debut at Cygnet Theatre. Middle School SDSCPA: Minstrel in Once Upon a Mattress. Youth Theater: Little Sister and Choir in Return to North Star and North Star Christmas, Ensemble in Mockingbird, Pocahontas in Disenchanted (TYP), Donkey in Shrek Jr, Luke in Cinderella Kids, Mary Poppins Jr (Selma Arts Center), Frozen Jr (CMT and SAC), Lion King Jr (California Arts Academy), 101 Dalmatians Kids (California Arts Academy). Musical theater and creative writing are her passions and she is so honored for the opportunity to play young Evita. Julia Celano

Since receiving a degree in Theatre Arts from SFSU, Julia has performed as Narrator in Joseph…, and in tours throughout CA and New Zealand. She also has performed as lead vocalist for years on Celebrity Cruises and has been a vocalist at Pala Casino. She has also performed in theme parks as a host/vocalist at SeaWorld and Disneyland as Miss Andrew’s in Mary Poppins. Domo D'dante

Domo is excited to be back on the stage at Cygnet Theatre in another amazing show and cast. You may remember seeing Domo in La Cage Aux Follies at Cygnet. Domo is a native of Flint, MI. He has his MFA in Musical Theatre from San Diego State University. His favorite roles include: The first regional premiere of The Good War (Private Smalls) directed by Broadway’s Jen Bender, In The Heights (Benny us/Dance Captain), Jesus Christ Superstar (Judas), Big River (Jim), The Full Monty (Horse) and Violet: The Musical (Flick). Natalia Hill

Natalia is more than thrilled to make her debut with Cygnet in Evita. Regional Credits: Will Rogers Follies (Spirit of the Sun, Ensemble), Peter Pan (Ensemble) Gretna Theater; Desert Rose (Ensemble) San Diego Rep. Natalia has danced for The PGK Dance Project, Dance Envoy (Italy), Vox Dance Theater (Los Angeles), Continuum Dance Project, WOW Festival, and was a back up dancer for The Pointer Sisters, Temptations, and The Four Tops at MGM, Las Vegas. She currently is a company dancer with Malashock Dance Company. She holds a BFA in Modern Dance Education from University of the Arts.

Tim Rice

Tim Rice has worked in music, theatre, and films since 1965 when he met Andrew Lloyd Webber, a fellow struggling songwriter. Rather than pursue Tim’s ambitions to write rock or pop songs they turned their attention to Andrew’s obsession – musical theatre. Their first collaboration was based on the life of Dr. Thomas Barnardo, the Victorian philanthropist, The Likes of Us. Their next three works together were much more successful – Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar and Evita.

Tim has since worked with other distinguished popular composers such as Elton John (The Lion King, Aida), Alan Menken (Aladdin, King David, Beauty and the Beast), Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson (Chess), and Stuart Brayson (From Here to Eternity). He has also written with Freddie Mercury, Burt Bacharach and Rick Wakeman among others.

As an EGOT, he is one of only 17 people in the world to have won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony award, was knighted by HM Queen Elizabeth II in 1994, and is the proud owner of a boxer dog and two dozen chickens.

Andrew Lloyd Webber

Andrew Lloyd Webber has composed the scores of some of the world’s most famous musicals. From Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (1969) to Cinderella (2021), his work has been consistently seen on world stages. Before the COVID pandemic hit, Lloyd Webber had shows continually running in the West End for 48 years and on Broadway for 41. When Sunset Boulevard joined School of Rock, CATS and The Phantom of the Opera, he equaled Rodgers & Hammerstein’s record of four shows running simultaneously on Broadway. He is one of the select group of artists with EGOT status, having received Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Awards.

Lloyd Webber is passionate about the importance of musical education and diversity in the arts. The Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation provides 30 performing arts scholarships every year for talented students with financial need and supports a range of projects such as the Music In Secondary School Trust and commissioning research into diversity in theatre.

Andrew Lloyd Webber was knighted in 1992 and created an honorary life peer in 1997. To mark his 70th birthday, his bestselling autobiography Unmasked was published by Harper Collins in March 2018.

Carlos Mendoza

Carlos was born in Davis, CA, but spent his early years in Colombia, South America. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Musical Theatre at the United States International University in San Diego, CA. He is the founder of the Hispanic Arts Theatre, an innovative theatre company that promotes Hispanic cultural awareness. Carlos has an extensive resume as a director, choreographer, and producer. He has won several awards: Mary Jane Teal Award for his production of In the Heights at Music Theatre Wichita, San Diego Critics Circle Awards for his productions of West Side Story, Ragtime and In the Heights for the Moonlight Stage Productions & Starlight Musical Theatre; the 2014 BRAVO (San Diego) award for body of work & the Inland Theatre League Award for Choreography for his production of In the Heights at Performance Riverside.
