It’s Black History Month and we at Cygnet wanted to celebrate the good old-fashioned way: by throwing a party (sort of).
The celebration of Black history can come in many ways. The conversations you hear in barbershops and salons. Stories handed down by grandmas and grandpas who were drunk at the cookout. It’s Soul Train. It’s Chaka Khan. It’s the Black experience you never got from textbooks and school. And it’s filled with joy.
Artistic Associate Kian Kline-Chilton leads a night celebrating Black culture through trivia, music, food, family, art, films, open discussion and lots of laughter. Anything goes, and anything can be said!
Featuring: Bryan Barbarin, Ro Boddie, Monique Gaffney, Cashae Monya and Lamar Perry
