Katy Tang is overjoyed to make her Cygnet Theatre debut! Most recently seen as Flora in Pacific Opera Project’s Turn of the Screw, part of countrywide Britten100/LA: A Celebration, other credits: Yum-Yum in The Mikado (POP), Anne Egerman in A Little Night Music (EWP), Mabel in Pirates of Penzance (TTC), Christine in Phantom of the Opera (VoxLumiere’s tour), White Christmas and Brigadoon (FCLO), CarnEvil (Sacred Fools), lead in The Starchild (Opera Pacific’s American premiere), Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro (La Musica Lirica in Italy), Poppea in Handel’s Agrippina (Freud Playhouse), Monica in The Medium (OperaUCLA), and lead roles in LA Opera’s touring productions. She has also work-shopped numerous new works as staged readings throughout Los Angeles. As Miss Culver City 2013, she received 2nd runner up at Miss California 2013 (Miss America Organization). Katy began her performance career on ice, as a two-time Junior Olympian pairs figure-skater and received her BA from UCLA.
